Dale McDowell scores runner-up finish with World of Outlaws at Bulls Gap

Returning to action in the Volunteer State, Dale McDowell visited Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Friday for the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series doubleheader. With 33 cars on hand, Dale edged his way into the opening night feature with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat. The following night for another $10,000-to-win A-Main, McDowell timed in fastest in his group before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. Clawing forward two spots in the 50-lap feature, Dale notched a runner-up finish behind Zack Mitchell with Darrell Lanigan, Scott Bloomquist, and Brandon Overton rounding out the Top-5.
