Seventh place finish in Tennessee Tipoff at Smoky Mountain

On Saturday afternoon Dale McDowell visited Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) powering the Kinzer Drilling No. 17m Late Model entry for the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series sanctioned Tennessee Tipoff. After making contact with the wall in his time trial session, McDowell logged a seventh-place finish in his heat, sending him into the B-Main. Grabbing the third and final transfer spot, Dale locked into the 22nd-starting position for the main event.
