Dale McDowell places runner-up in Scott Bloomquist Memorial Scorcher at Volunteer Speedway
On Thursday afternoon, Dale McDowell and his Shane McDowell Racing crew competed in a special Super Late Model show at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) that honored Dale's late friend Scott Bloomquist.
With a $10,000 payday up for grabs, McDowell qualified quickest out of 25 entries and led the majority of the 50-lap main event before Camaron Marlar passed him in the closing laps. Dale settled for second while Michael Brown completed the podium.
