Dale McDowell earns podium finish with Southern Nationals at North Georgia
The Shane McDowell Racing team joined the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series for the final two events on the 2025 schedule at North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Ga.) on Friday and Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway on Saturday.
Starting on the pole of the $10,053-to-win feature on Friday evening, McDowell led the first 28 circuits before Sam Seawright powered around him. Dale lost one more spot to Zack Mitchell which landed him a third-place finish.
On Saturday, Dale was leading the 53-lap feature when a mechanical failure left him spun in front of the field which ended his run at the Ray Varner Ford 53.
