McDowell finishes 15th in Topless 100 after Top-5 in preliminary feature at Batesville
Dale McDowell took off the roof of his Shane McDowell Racing machine for the weekend and rolled into Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Ark.) on Friday for the 33rd-annual Topless 100 with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
With 44 Late Models checked in for preliminary night, McDowell finished runner-up in his heat race and rounded out the Top-5 in the first 25-lap prelim. Dale started ninth in the 100-lapper on Saturday and ran as high as fourth before a flat tire relegated him to a 15th-place finish.
