Pair of fourth-place finishes at Talladega Short Track during NASCAR weekend
Heading to Alabama for NASCAR weekend, Dale McDowell joined the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the two-day Red Farmer Tribute.
Locking himself into the $5,000-to-win opener through qualifying, McDowell made up one spot in the 38-lap feature to finish just off the podium in fourth.
With the purse bumped to $15,097 on Saturday night, Dale led wire-to-wire in his heat race and redrew the pole position for the evening's main event. Briefly leading the start of the 50-lap feature, McDowell faded outside the Top-5 before rallying for another fourth-place outing.
