Dale McDowell scores pair of podiums with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at I-75 Raceway

Joining the tour for their season finale, Dale McDowell was one of 29 Super Late Model drivers at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon for the first night of their Championship Weekend.

Laying down the second-quickest in qualifying, McDowell won his heat race and redrew the No. 1 to start on the pole of the $10,000-to-win opener. Leading the opening lap, McDowell fell to second and crossed the line in third after 50-laps. He trailed Cory Hedgecock and Stormy Scott.

With the field bolstered to 33 entries on Saturday, Dale once again earned the pole position after redrawing the No. 1 in the redraw. With a $20,000 payday up for grabs, McDowell led the first 16 laps before giving up the lead to eventual race-winner Brandon Overton. Dale wound up runner-up while Mike Marlar completed the Top-3.
