Pair of Top-5 finishes with Spring Nationals at I-75 and Tazewell
Primed for a two-step through Tennesse, Dale McDowell followed the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) on Friday and Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway on Saturday.
With a strong 40-car field on hand for night one, McDowell picked up a heat race victory and stood on the podium at the end of the night. He trailed Ricky Weiss and Cory Hedgecock in the 53-lap, $10,053-to-win feature.
The following night, McDowell earned a spot in the $21,000-to-win Lil' Bill Corum Memorial and survived a wild 75-lap feature to record a Top-5 finish in fifth.
