McDowell fourth in Gauntlet at The Gap opener
On Tuesday evening, Dale McDowell kicked off four days of racing at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) as he competed in the Gauntlet at the Gap.
McDowell kicked off the event with his best run as he ran fourth in the $7,500-to-win opener. After finishing 19th in the Wednesday night show, Dale came back better on Friday evening and recorded a sixth-place finish. In the $30,000-to-win finale, McDowell wound up 22nd in the final running order.
